In 1991,Philip S Zanghi III founded Indian Tabac Co., producing cigars that are considered children of the “cigar boom” from the mid-90’s. Fast forward years later, Philips vocation and manufacturing in numerous tobacco facets have only grown. In 2009, Philip reentered the premium cigar space with the motives of not just making cigars but creating reasons for people to enjoy their lives. The idea was to place a superior product in the hands of cigar lovers across the world. This involved more intricate steps of aging and fermenting tobaccos, coined as Phil’s very own “Tobacco Alchemy”, which appropriately marries his dedication to Art, Passion and Science to every cigar he creates. Thus, the genesis of Debonaire Ultra Premium Cigars came in 2012. Phil’s flagship cigar was the Nicaraguan Habano wrapped Salomon. The response was “more”, and Phil’s answer to that was five additional vitolas with the Habano wrapper and the second line release of Debonaire Ultra Premium Cigars wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro from the Connecticut River Valley, U.S.A. The acceptance of Phil’s vocational and passionate premium work led to the introduction of the Debonaire Daybreak, a Connecticut Shade offering introduced in 2017. Philips’ Art, Passion and Science, as well as his 25 plus years of tobacco vocation have created not only Debonaire Ultra Premium Cigars, but also the Debonaire Ideal: the betterment of tobacco and oneself, driven by the pursuit of authenticity.
